The AH provides safe, funny, and simple environment of purchasing and selling for players. Items can be traded with real money or gold in game.

Sell and purchase easily

Players are able to get many random fallen items when they are killing monsters, demons or heretics. With the new auction house system, characters can get your items and equip their characters as soon as possible. Also, players can sell items that they don’t want. Maybe the items are what other players want.

Sell item that players don’t want

Almost every trophy including gold can be traded in game. Trading with other players directly or selling in auction house is allowed. If you are a witch doctor, and you get a rare and powerful axe which can only be used by barbarians, you can sell it to others or auction house. In Diablo 2, you can only sell it to other players. But in Diablo 3, players can sell it in auction house. Other barbarian players will come to buy it. Different from merchants in game, players will treasure the axe and make use of it instead of melting it.

Search function

The auction house system can list gears which are helpful to you with smart search. You don’t have to log out and find out gears for your different characters.

Free choice

It is all up to you whether trade with real money or gold. Players charge their gears. Players can also sell gears to merchants in game so that they get gold. And players are allowed to trade with other players in order to get gold or other gears that they want.

Available to players only

Blizzard does not plan to sell items in auction house. It is just to convenient players to deal with their items. Purchasers and sellers are all players.

Safe and legitimate

It is a good way to prevent fraudulence and accounts stealing.

Quick speed

You don’t have to log out. When players succeed in buying an item, they can equip the gears and fight with enemies.
