Axe in Diablo is cumbersome and slow, but powerful in strength. It is unparallel. There are many kinds of axes, one-handed axe that can be waved quickly, double-bit axe which can split one’s body easily. Axes are various. Axes in small size can be cast. Axes of barbarians can deal with enemies in casting range or melees. Brave soldiers are not willing to defend themselves too much, but like attacking. So they prefer to use two-handed axe. It is said a magic axe is able to cut clean through iron as though it were mud. Axe exists in Diablo series and this arm is soldiers’ favorite arm. It is characterized by slow attack and serious dmg. While in Diablo 1, appearance of axe is magnificent. Players choose axe firstly if they wanna bring great dmg. As barbarians exist in Diablo 3, axe appears frequently at the beginning. In initial stages, crafted axes can be used for they have serious attack. Axe occupies two item columns. Axes are barbarians’ unique arms. Weak class such as witch doctor cannot control the powerful arm. Class of monk prefer to KungFu, and do not like using edged arms.

There are three axes, common axe, crafted axe, and legendary axe in Diablo 3. Common axes are in high or low quality. Even common axes have their own attributes. The common axes include hand axe, weathered axe, broad axe, double axe, heavy axe, battle axe, marauder axe, soldier axe, hatchet, ono, bullova, adze, chopper, toporok, masakari, tomahawk, grescent axe, arreat axe, balestarius, reaver, galraki, arch axe. Different axes require different lvl. Crafted axes include journeyman heavy axe, adept battle axe, master soldier axe, grandmaster ono, magnificent tomahawk, glorious reaver, exalted fine galraki, exalted galraki, and exalted grand galraki. Different axes have different attributes and lvl requirement. Legendary axes include genzaniku, hack, the burning axe of sankis, murderer, fenrirs tooth, the wedge, flesh tearer, sky splitter, butchers sickle, hellslayer, wreckshop.

In Diablo 1, the butcher leaves a deep impression on players. The first unique weapon, the butcher’s cleave is got from the butcher. This weapon has low durability and stability. And messerschmidt’s Reaver is magnificent in appearance.

In Diablo 2, axes are not impressive enough except Hellslayers’ axe.
